Monitor Honors Amy Lewis with Top 50 Women in Equipment Finance Award
Minneapolis, MN – December 5, 2024 – KLC Financial is excited to announce that Amy Lewis, Vice President of Operations, has been selected by Monitor as one of the Top 50 Women in Equipment Finance. This award comes on the heels of Amy Lewis being named one of Finance & Commerce’s Top Women in Finance just one month ago.
With over 25 years of experience in the equipment finance and leasing industries, Amy has made a significant impact through her leadership in operational management, team development, and customer-focused problem-solving. At KLC Financial, Amy’s multifaceted role encompasses overseeing operations, developing policies, managing risks, and fostering team growth. One of Amy’s most recent achievements is the successful implementation of a new operating system that streamlined internal processes and enhanced operational efficiency.
Amy also established the Account Servicing Support team, showcasing her innovative approach and responsiveness to the organization’s needs. Her efforts have fundamentally transformed KLC Financial’s operations, positioning the company for continued growth as well as sustained success.
“Amy Lewis offers a unique blend of operational expertise and leadership to our industry,” Spencer Thomas, CEO of KLC Financial, says. “Her skill in implementing complex systems and building high-performing teams has not only enhanced KLC’s internal processes but also improved the customer service experience.”
Jeff Bilbrey, CEO of Leasepath added, “Amy Lewis brings a wealth of experience to KLC, having applied best practices from large organizations in a way that’s tailored to KLC’s needs. Her leadership in transforming business operations—implementing new front-office tech and insourcing back-office servicing—has driven impressive efficiency and customer service excellence, all while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.”
Beyond her professional achievements, Amy has made significant contributions to her community through leadership, volunteer efforts, and mentorship. She has actively participated in industry panels and engaged in various charitable activities, including the annual Wreaths Across America event at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. She coordinated a KLC initiative that raised over $9,000 for educational programs for a local nonprofit in Minneapolis. Additionally, she led her team to contribute 596 pounds of food to the Intercongregation Communities Association (ICA) during a company-wide food drive contest.
Amy’s mission in the equipment finance and leasing industry centers on empowering individuals and organizations by fostering inclusivity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. She believes that a culture of appreciation and involvement motivates people to share their best ideas and efforts, enhancing overall performance.
Amy’s advice to future leaders “Every step you take paves the way for future women in the industry. Your fresh ideas and unique perspective are invaluable. Stay curious, build your network, seek mentorship, and embrace continuous learning. Never underestimate your potential. Your determination can inspire future generations. Stand tall, be bold, and keep pushing boundaries!”
